iWeb is a website creation software available through Apple. You may be wondering if the sites you create through iWeb can be uploaded to the Web.unc.edu system. Since iWeb creates HTML files and Web.unc.edu uses WordPress templates, this cannot be done.
If you have already created an iWeb site and still want to utilize the UNC servers, you have two options:
- Upload your iWeb site to your UNC AFS space. If you choose this option, remember that you will not be using the Web.unc.edu system. Thus, any inquiries on this option should be directed to the IT Support Group.
- Start a new Web.unc.edu site. Copy and paste content from your iWeb site on your Mac to your new Web.unc.edu site. Although this will not be a quick upload, there is a lot of documentation available to help you build your site to your liking. You can start with this Getting Started Guide. You can also refer to the Get Help section for any other inquiries.
We hope that you can use Web.unc.edu for all your site needs. If you still have any questions about using Web.unc.edu, feel free to submit a help request ticket with us!
