Upgrades to WebdotUNC Services

This past weekend there were some upgrades performed on the WebdotUNC servers to increase security.  The core wordpress was upgraded to the latest version of WordPress (3.4.1), and all plugins and themes were upgrades to the latest versions.

As part of this upgrade you may see some different layouts in the admin areas of your site, but the majority of all plugins should work the same.

There are a few known issues we are working through.  We will keep this page updated as information becomes available about solutions.

  1. If you are using the Ataluapha Theme on your site and using custom headers your headers are likely not loading like they were before.  We are researching a few options to fix this issue.
UPDATE 1: Mon 8/20 5:35pm.  We have temporarily reverted the site theme so they are all resolving again they way they should while we look into a long term update to this theme.

UPDATE 2: Tues, 8/20 9:35am.  While the images are working in the header, there is now an issue where all spaces after comma’s are removed.   UPDATE 3 (9:55am): This is resolved now.
  1. If you were using the old Events Registration plugin your site may not be available.  If this effects you please submit a ticket a http://web.unc.edu/get-help and we will get your site back up.  You will need to use Gravity Forms in the future for your event registration needs.  We are removing the Events Registration plugin.
