Do you have research you would like to share with the world?  Getting on the job market and needs to present a professional portfolio of your work that will help you stand out from the crowd?  Come to this online webinar with UNC’s Jeff VanDrimmelen and learn how to create a website on web.unc.edu.  You can read more about the features and services at http://web.unc.edu/about/

This webinar will walk you through the basics of creating a site, adding content, including multimedia, and some configurations.  We will have time for hands on assignments and question and answer as you build out your own website.

Before the class, please create a site on web.unc.edu by following the directions at http://web.unc.edu/getting-started/ (Takes about 5 minutes).  Please also gather any materials (images, docs, videos) that you would like on your site in advance and have it available on your computer for the class.

Information about the Webinar

This class will be taught using Blackboard Collaborate (formerly Elluminate), a live web conference software that runs on any computer (Mac/PC) that has an internet connection.

Before the class begins, please go to http://www.elluminate.com/support and go through the ‘First Time Users’ check to make sure you are set up and ready to go with Elluminate. Note that a microphone will not be required as part of the class if you would like to just listen in and learn.

To join the workshop on the day of the class please open an internet browser (internet explorer, mozilla firefox, safari, etc.) and go to the following link:

For your convenience we have also put together this 4 minute screencast about logging in with elluminate and using it during the class.
